Peak Design Packing Cubes just look and feel more stylish and higher-end than any others I’ve tried. They are also really functional, both for compressing your clothes in the suitcase, and to use as makeshift drawers once you take them out of your suitcase. I’ve tried packing cubes that are more expensive but none look and feel as good as these. Check out Peak Design packing cubes and all my travel gear here.

SKYSCANNER enables you to do one of my favorite travel hacks. If you are flexible on where you are going, it allows you to search and find the cheapest international destinations from wherever you are flying. Unlike most travel booking sites that require you to enter a destination city, SkyScanner has an option where you can just enter your departure city and then set the destination to “Explore Everywhere.” It will then list out the international destinations starting with the least expensive. You can try SkyScanner here.

STAYING IN A MONGOLIAN GER is incredible. A Ger (similar to a yurt) is the traditional accommodation for Mongolian nomads, as it can be setup and taken down within a matter of hours. I got to spend time with a Mongolian family in their Ger. They didn’t speak English but through a translator I got to ask their advice on living a fulfilling long-term nomadic lifestyle. I reciprocated by explaining how my ‘digital nomad’ lifestyle works and they were intrigued. I also got to stay in a Ger myself, and it was a truly special experience that I highly recommend.

Last week I interviewed Nusrat Roshni who talked about her family’s experience during the Bangladesh Liberation War and the Bangladesh Genocide. She shared inspiring examples of cross-community support and humanity during some of the darkest times, and explained the lessons we can take from that today. Roshni also talked about her grandfather’s commitment to women and girls education, the schools he built, and the legacy he left in Bangladesh. Listen to the episode on your favorite platform here.
