ICEBREAKER MERINO WOOL GLOVE LINERS are super thin and lightweight, but they keep my hands warm. I permanently store them in the pocket of my compressible jacket so they take up no additional space. They work perfectly as gloves in moderately cold climates. If I’m in an extremely cold climate (like when I ski all day, or when I hiked to the glacial summit of Mount Kilimanjaro), I rent a larger pair of ultra-warm gloves to wear over them. 3) DESTINATIONS

ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA is a gorgeous archipelago off the coast of East Africa. It is a remarkable place full of Islamic culture, important history, legendary beaches, winding lanes, carved doorways, beautiful minarets and palaces. This pic was one of my most memorable nights when some friends and I went to have dinner at The Rock restaurant. You need to take your shoes off to walk out to the restaurant, and the tide was even higher on the way back! But the food was incredible and the experience was unforgettable.
