DINER EN BLANC (“Dinner in White”) is a clandestine pop-up elegant dinner party where everyone dresses to the nines. Attendees don’t know the secret location until minutes before it starts and then suddenly thousands of guests all dressed in elegant white are having a chic picnic with wine and champagne. Afterwards, on cue, everyone disappears into the night, leaving no trace of the event. I went to the 35th anniversary event in Paris (where it began) but it now happens annually around the world.
