3) DESTINATIONS

JINJA, UGANDA is the source of the River Nile, which I visited on my first trip to Uganda back in 2018. At 4,258 miles long, The Nile is widely regarded as the longest river in the world and a life source for 11 African countries. This is also the location where Mahatma Gandhi chose to have some of his ashes scattered, so Indian politicians have come here to pay homage to him as well. Jinja is a relatively easy trip from Kampala and well worth it. After living near the Nile in Egypt for a year, it was very cool to finally see the source.
