KNEECAP is a remarkably funny and politically substantive Irish film that just became available on streaming. Set in Belfast, it’s based on a true story about an Irish-language hip hop group with the band members playing themselves. It won the NEXT Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival and was the first Irish language film ever to be screened there. It was also selected as Ireland’s submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards. Watch the Trailer Here.

TALLINN, ESTONIA is located right on the Baltic Sea and has a UNESCO-listed Old Town that is a picture-perfect medieval wonderland. Walking through its cobblestone streets feels like stepping into a storybook, with well-preserved city walls, towers, and enchanting architecture. I spent time there last month and it also has incredible art galleries, coffee shops, and a great theater and culinary scene.

NIKE CHALLENGER RUNNING SHORTS. I jog quite regularly while I’m traveling. It’s a free form of exercise but also a great way to explore new cities when you first arrive. And these are the running shorts I travel with because they are super comfortable, light weight, compressible, and take up very little space in my luggage. Check out the Nike Challenger Running Shorts and All My Travel Gear Here.

Last week I interviewed Hira Aftab about the importance of prioritizing the voices, stories, and experiences of refugees in the places we travel. She talks about growing up in a Pakistani immigrant home and reflects on how her first trip to Palestine inspired her to become a human rights activist. Hira talks about founding “Our World Too” as a platform to center the stories of refugees. She also reflects on lessons from her international humanitarian work and unpacks some of the neo-colonial dynamics in the space. Listen here on your favorite platform.
