BALTIMORE, MARYLAND is one of my favorite cities in the U.S. and I’ve been continually going back over the last 25 years. From the Inner Harbor and waterfront nightlife, to the gourmet dining and world-renowned blue crab dishes, to the grit, swagger, and stunning graffiti art that accentuate the various local neighborhoods. I highly recommend the local Black-owned Bike and Brunch tours for a dive into the city’s rich history and culture, incredible food, and one of the best street art scenes in the country.

Did you Listen to Last Week’s Episode of The Maverick Show?
Last week I interviewed award-winning travel journalist Briona Lamback about why Baltimore is so amazing, the Afrobeat scene in London, her experience visiting Morocco on her first trip to Africa, and going to Ghana in 2019 for “The Year of Return”. She talks about founding her company Buoyant Travel, leading groups trips to Ghana for “Detty December”, and how travel is a critical part of Black freedom. We also discuss Brazil, the Black diaspora culture in Salvador, and our shared love for caipirinhas. Listen to the episode on your favorite platform here.
