Episode #228: Discovering the Freedom Triangle, Founding Location Indie, and Getting Over 6 Million Downloads on the Extra Pack of Peanuts Podcast with Travis Sherry

Episode Summary

Travis Sherry takes us on his journey growing up in Philadelphia, studying abroad in Switzerland, getting married, and traveling the world with his wife.  He talks about their experience teaching English in Japan for two years before founding “Extra Pack of Peanuts” and becoming location independent entrepreneurs.  He shares his ups and downs on the entrepreneurial rollercoaster, opens up about his biggest setbacks, and reflects on his biggest breakthroughs, lessons and leverage points along the way.  He explains how he did a $350,000 launch of an information product bundle, how he grew his podcast to over 6 million downloads, and what he would do differently if starting from scratch today.  He then talks about his travels, including some of his biggest mishaps like illegally crossing the border from Bosnia into Croatia, not having enough blank pages in his passport to leave Singapore, and losing his laptop while traveling through Indonesia and India.  He then talks about building the “Location Indie” community and hosting “Camp Indie”—an adult summer camp for digital nomads!  And, finally, Travis reflects on what travel means to him.  FULL SHOW NOTES AVAILABLE AT: www.TheMaverickShow.com
