Episode #233: Accidentally Smuggling Opium Into India, Reflecting on Palestine, and Capturing Travel Experiences Through Music with Andres Ramos

Episode Summary

Andres Ramos takes us on his musical journey and how that dovetailed and eventually merged with his lifestyle of full time world travel.  He explains how he captures travel experiences through music, breaks down his composition process, and performs an original number on the podcast.   Andres then talks about his travel experiences, starting with a Tiger safari in India, followed by his first impressions of Nepal after living in India for two years.  Next, he talks about his experience in Kashmir, including a story of how he accidentally smuggled opium back into India. Then, Andres shares his experience getting pulled over at gunpoint in a Brazilian favela, followed by an entertaining story about the only time and his girlfriend actually got robbed during their travels, which was in York. He then reflects on his experience spending a few months in Israel and Palestine, and shares his lessons and insights. Finally, Andres opens up about what travel means to him today and the impact it has had on him, both good and bad.  FULL SHOW NOTES AVAILABLE AT: www.TheMaverickShow.com
